Wasted Talent ist ein Boutique-Musikunternehmen aus Berlin, aktiv in den Bereichen Management und Publishing. Wir arbeiten mit einer Gruppe außergewöhnlicher nationaler und internationaler Artists und Songwriter:innen (u.a. Milky Chance, Ennio, Kasi, Dilla). Als aufstrebendes Unternehmen in einer schnelllebigen Musikindustrie setzen wir stark auf datengetriebene Prozesse, eigene Tools und technische Lösungen. Unser Ziel ist es, kreative und administrative Abläufe rund um Management und Publishing so effizient, transparent und smart wie möglich zu gestalten. Dafür suchen wir eine:n Werkstudent:in im Bereich Backend Developement / Automation, der oder die unser technisches Team aus zwei Backend Developer:innen und einem AI Engineer unterstützt und Lust hat, eigene Ideen einzubringen.

Deine Aufgaben

Du arbeitest an der Schnittstelle von Musik, Daten und Technologie und unterstützt uns unter anderem bei:

• der Pflege und Weiterentwicklung unseres internen Datensystems und unserer Dashboards
• der Optimierung und Automatisierung kreativer Management- und Publishing-Prozesse, zum Beispiel Releaseplanung, Songwriting-Session-Booking oder Analyse von Song-Performance
• der Automatisierung administrativer Prozesse, etwa bei GEMA-Registrierungen, Metadatenanalysen und Royalty Collection
• dem Aufbau von Tools zur automatisierten Beschaffung und Auswertung von Nutzungsdaten, zum Beispiel wann, wo und wie unsere Songs im Radio, auf Streaming-Plattformen, bei Live-Shows oder in anderen Kontexten genutzt wurden
• der Weiterentwicklung unseres Income Trackings durch smarte Daten- und Automatisierungslösungen

Wasted Talent is a boutique music company based in Berlin, active in the fields of management and publishing. We work with a group of exceptional national and international artists and songwriters (e.g. Milky Chance, Ennio, Kasi, and Dilla).

As an emerging company in a fast-paced music industry, we place a strong focus on data-driven processes, proprietary tools, and technical solutions. Our goal is to make creative and administrative workflows around management and publishing as efficient, transparent, and smart as possible.

To support this, we are looking for a working student in Backend Development / Automation to join our technical team, which consists of two backend developers and one AI engineer. We are looking for someone who is eager to contribute their own ideas.

Your responsibilities

You will work at the intersection of music, data, and technology and support us in areas including:

• maintaining and further developing our internal data system and dashboards
• optimizing and automating creative management and publishing processes, such as release planning, songwriting session booking, or song performance analysis
• automating administrative processes, for example GEMA registrations, metadata analyses, and royalty collection
• building tools for the automated collection and analysis of usage data, such as when, where, and how our songs were used on radio, streaming platforms, live shows, or in other contexts
• further developing our income tracking through smart data and automation solutions
